Meet The Pastor
Jeff Tate
Jeff, the oldest of three siblings, was born and raised in Tampa, FL. After attending Hillsborough Community College, he received a degree in Family and Child Development from Auburn University. He holds a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Christian University (now Amridge University, Montgomery, AL)
Jeff served 10 years in youth ministry in Alabama, Florida and Kentucky before answering the call to pastoral ministry. He has served as senior pastor of First UMC, Apalachicola, FL for 4 years, 10 years as lead pastor of First UMC, Lake City, FL, and served 6 years as the lead pastor of Keystone UMC, Keystone Heights, FL.
Jeff and his family moved to Fort Payne, AL in 2022. He is passionate about introducing people to Jesus, helping them grow in a personal relationship with Jesus, and equipping followers of Jesus to share their faith and serve others.
